Gente De Bien

Loosely translated both as "good people" and "rich people", Gente de bien is an absorbing and wellobserved debut feature, driven by a superbly naturalistic performance from Bryan Santamaria as an innocent young soul slowly waking up to social and economic injustice.

Dirty Hands

From the port of Buenaventura – the most dangerous city in Colombia – three men embark on a journey over the dark murky waters of the Pacific, in this Spike Lee-produced drama. In one magical night of romance, he falls in love with Angie, a dancer/choreographer who dreams to be a part of the most famous salsa group in the world: Delirio. After returning to Madrid, Javier finds he has lost interest in his work and his marriage – he cannot forget Angie, or the colourful energy of the Colombian city. Inspired by his best friend who works as a doctor in Cali, he decides to take leave and return to work as a practicing physician, and reclaim Angie.

Blue Lips

Six characters from six different cities around the world (Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Buenos Aires, Rome and Pamplona) experience an event in their lives that brings about an abrupt change in their routine - something inside them has died. Unable to cope, they are lost and without direction. They each embark on a journey to Pamplona during the San Fermín Festival; a dramatic scenario that will force them to confront themselves. As the characters intersect, they form relationships that will help them face and overcome their conflicts with renewed hope and energy.

Marshland

Winner of 10 Goya Awards in 2015, including best film, best director (Alberto Rodriguez, Unit 7), best actor and best art direction, this is an unmissable festival highlight which showcases brooding Spanish cinema at its very best, and is reminiscent of the much-lauded TV series True Detective.
